Friday Garden Flowers

mountain Summer garden
Wow! The garden has gone crazy this year.

Fall in the mountains is always my favorite time of the year. Cool crisp air, fires at night, gardens still in bloom and always the best view in town. These lovely beauties are making their way into my home later today. I really didn’t realize I had planted sooo many white hydrangea. This year the garden looks like it is 5-7 years old already—really only 2 years old. The blooms are simple abundant and amazing. Time to go cut a few dozen blooms and enjoy the weekend.

  1. Beautiful Lissy! I love Hydrangeas they are gorgeous! They make the most wonderful full arrangements to bring in doors! The yard is so green and lush along with the Hydrangea and Boxwood! Happy Fall!

  2. Lissy, your garden is beautiful! I have enjoyed watching it grow from the beginning and the same thought comes to mind every time I see it.
How do you keep the deer from eating your plants? Please continue to post natural looking gardens, locust fences and arbors. I enjoy and look forward to your beautiful posts. MJ

    1. MJ,Thank you so very much! I love a ‘natural’ looking garden too. The deer come all around my house but never seem to bother anything. Mr.P says it is because they have plenty to eat up here on the mountain.
