Stop the car! This House Crush just oozes charm. My heart skipped a beat when I drove up the drive. Cedar shakes, dark siding, white trim and a gravel drive—what more does a girl need. The dormers are a lovely detail to the shake roof and the brackets add extra depth and dimension to the windows. Stone steps lead to the iron and glass entry door that is flanked by large shutters with a nail head detail—perfect. I love the small side porch rail detail to the right of the house—just that little extra something to finish it off. Oh, and don’t forget one of my all time favorites…widow boxes. Where do I sign?

Beautiful! Where is this located?
Jo, The owner wants to keep that private.

Lissy,
What are the exterior paint colors, please?
Thanks
JJ
JJ, The exterior paint color is a Cabot stain named Burnt Hickory mixed as a paint by Benjamin Moore for the body of the house. The trim is Bone White by Benjamin Moore. If your use the original stain the color is slightly different. Hope this helps.

Hi, Do you know what color the windows themselves are? eg Marvin cashmere? Or maybe Bone White since you say the trim is Bone White.
Ali, I know this one for sure—she used my colors and the trim is Ben Moore bone white.
It works great with the Burnt Hickory color on the body of the house.

I would love details on the shutters
Emily, the shutters are 3 boards nailed together by horizontal boards on the back. The decorative nail heads are
from Jennings Lumber and Supplies in Cashiers. I also used the shutters on the Smallwood house in
Highlands. Mine were painted Bone White by Benjamin Moore.
