The answer is YES—the Atlanta house is SOLD! The movers have made the last trip to the mountains, at least for now. The new apartment is just a block away on Peachtree and close to everything that is familiar—the same Publix, familiar restaurants, same Starbucks and very close to Boxwoods. What more could we need?
It was a strange feeling this weekend to realize that our main home was now in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Atlanta merely a place to shop and visit. We will treat my short visits as vacation now and enjoy all the things we never took time to do.
People ask if I am sad. The answer is NO WAY! I am so excited to live in my new old house, and I will embrace every thing that this area has to offer. I do miss a few things I had to leave behind at the Rivers Road house (all of my antique pots collected over many years and two very dear chandelier) but Boxwoods and I are on the search to replace them ASAP!

I think it is a fabulous thing! And I hope to one day follow your lead and do the same. I will show your post to my husband and say, “See? If Lissy can do it, we should too!” LOL
Enjoy your new home as home. 🙂
