Double up your window boxes this year. Have you seen the bridges at Gibbs Gardens north of Atlanta? They have double window boxes on the rails that are overflowing with beautiful flowers that will stop you in your tracks … or Tory Burch’s in my case.
I decided to give it a try on my side porch in Cashiers—this porch is on the second story and only accessible from inside the house. The porch is very open to the gravel road on the corner and I thought that by adding window boxes it would give us a little more privacy—it worked! The flowers are growing like mad and cascading over the rail. In a few weeks I hope to have a beautiful view from the porch.
The wicker furniture that I bought at The Worlds best Garage Sale is being recovered in Perennial’s Little Big Stripe fabric in the color Hotsy Totsy. How fun does that sound? I will post another picture when all is back from the upholstery shop.

Your window boxes look smashing 1 WHAT A GREAT IDEA, TO HANG THEM FRONT AND BACK. Can you give us a list of the plant material you used ?
They look amazing, Lissy and count me in in the overabundance…fabulous!! Now my problem would be keeping them alive! Happy June!
They have grown another two inches. Luckily it has rained a lot!

Where can I get some double haystack window boxes just like yours?
Trish, They are singles that have been hung on both sides of the rail. Mine came from Kinsman garden center.

This idea is fantastic, may try on my little side grill deck. I am all for “over abundance”!
