Architectural Salvage—Otto

OOtto, is my new destination for all things architectural, and it’s located nearby in Otto, North Carolina!  When we arrived I couldn’t believe my eyes! There were light fixtures hanging from every surface. Beautiful windows in every shape imaginable—gothic, round, oval …. They have them all. There were shutters, doors, columns, flooring, signs …. You name it; they have it! I found hardware for doors and windows—and even old ship hardware that would make great handles on kitchen cabinets or appliances.

I couldn’t leave Otto until I thought of perfect places for so many of its treasures. My brain was working overtime! I decided to replace my outside porch lights, upstairs and down, with the fabulous copper and brass ones featured below. Take a look at what I found, and plan a field trip of your own. Warning: take cash and an empty SUV!
