This beautiful English Tudor is my ultimate house crush! I know this house inside and out—wish the garden was a little larger. How do I know this charming house so well—I use to live there! Located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; the home was constructed in 1929 of local brick and stone laid in the ‘Drunken Brick’ pattern.
The jagged stones are set at an angle and protrude from the house—my son actually climbed them on our first day there. All of the interior wood work is composed of Yew wood flown in from England. The Ivy covering the walls was planted by the original owner—who also carried it home on a plane from England. The Breakfast room on the right front of the house was my favorite room—light, bright and decorated in checks, stripes and garden themed fabric. Oh how I miss it!
