More Frog Tape

Thank you for all the comments and emails about my painted kitchen floor. I am crazy in love with this floor. College son had three sick professors on Thursday, so he came to Cashiers for the weekend. His comment on the floors was “WOW!” I said I was thinking of adding a zebra rug on top in the window area–his comment was ‘Why.’ He has always been a man of few words. Sorry about the delay in posting these but my laptop was in N.C. all week and I was in Atlanta. My last post was by iPhone and editor–thank God for editors. Enjoy the fun.

The math involved in this process is mind-boggling. All corners of the Island, room and entries had to match.

Some of the lighting was on back order so small lamps were used to light the area as needed

  1. Lissy,
Wow!!! The floor looks amazing….what an incredible project and I love seeing how it was done. It really is a show stopper….I’ll be everyone is wearing socks at your house! 🙂

    1. Thank you Elizabeth,
I would love for the boys to only wear socks, but it is sealed twice just in case. I also have two Cavaliers. I don’t mind a little wear … patina.
      The staircase is next.
