Joe Webb Fever—Again!

Webb, Joe Webb that is. I can never get enough of these rustic log homes–love them. Today’s post is the second log cabin in the Webb series. This is actually the guest cabin for the first Webb cabin featured last week. I have to say that I love the first home with its commanding view, but I prefer the warmth and charm of this little cabin best. The two story living room opens up the cabin and lets the cool mountain air circulate throughout the house. Wouldn’t you just love to kick-off your shoes, pour a cold drink and relax here–me too!

This home is also on the market and can be purchased alone or combined with the first home giving you the most wonderful mountain retreat ever. Move in today and enjoy the rest of the Hot Summer in the cool mountains of North Carolina–yes please.

Entry to the cabin with beautiful stone patio and chimney

Exposed log walls and large ceiling beams–stone fireplace was made from stone found on the property–charming
Love the tall ceilings and scenic mural–the kitchen is on the right
Original cabinets now have concrete counters-the hinges on the windows and cabinets are amazing–close up below
Hinge detail–beautiful and functional–all made without power tools
Rustic ceiling details with seeded glass lanterns–love
Kitchen ‘pass through’ window and counter for easy entertaining–great storage drawers built in under the counter
Cocktails on the screened porch anyone … two, please
High ceilings in the Master Bedroom give a spacious feeling
Huge corner tub is surrounded by bead board walls and original cabinetry
‘Privy’ area has a bird print and Iron sconce tucked into the corner
Charming bird prints framed in Black Forest frames hang between the window and tub
Guest bedroom has beautiful log walls and exposed beams–Welcome
Guest bath with another over sized tub and beams–Spa time anyone
Original doors and hardware from the 30s–details make the difference
Back to the Living Room of this wonderful home
One last detail–this original table has a notch in the side to guide your yarn while knitting! Cool

Did you find a detail that you can use in your own home? I can think of a few that I need to incorporate into the new house.
