Why I Love Repeating House Crushes

house crush, Francie Hargrove, Cashiers, NC
This House Crush is worth repeating.

This house crush is worth repeating this week to inspire us all. It has been showing up on Instagram featured by others including Flyingsheep-country and Stagridge designs. This beautiful home belonged to Francie Hargrove and features her comfortable and stylish mountain decor. Down this meandering drive lined with boxwood, hydrangea, rhododendron and ferns sits the most charming House Crush. The cedar shake cottage has a lovely copper-roofed front entry flanked by beautiful lanterns and huge hydrangea—I love the planters. Inside, doorways and ceilings featuring old salvaged beams accent shiplap walls. This House Crush was also spotlighted on the blog featuring a dinner she hosted with James Farmer here. Have another little look around and gather inspiring ideas for your house.

  2. Amazing & timeless!! Any chance you could tell me the house & shutter colors? I’m renovating a 1930 house & this is my inspiration photo! Thank you so much for your response.

    1. Lorraine,
The house body color is a Cabot stain color made into a paint by Benjamin Moore. It is called Burnt Hickory.
The trim color is Benjamin Moore Bone White. I will check on the shutter color for you.

  3. Although I am not an interior designer, it has always been a passion of mine. Over the years I’ve visited either on line or in design magazines so many beautifully decorated homes, but this one far surpasses any of them on so many levels! Thank you for sharing this fabulous home with us.

    1. Nancy, Thank you so very much! I love renovating an older home—they have the most character. This is the home of Francie Hargrove, a local Cashiers designer.
