Friday Flowers—Dahlias

Friday flowers Dahlias
Arrange the vases in a circle.

The Dahlias are in up here on the mountain, and they are gorgeous this year. I don’t grow dahlias, so I purchased these in Cashiers at The Cashiers Farmers Market. This lovely vase is from CK Swan in Highlands and can be arranged to fit any table or space. Arrange it in a circle for a beautiful centerpiece or line the vases up for a striking alfresco dinner in the garden.

It is amazing what you can find around Highlands and Cashiers. Check the local paper or farmers market or simply ask your friends for resources in your area. I had no idea there was a dahlia farm open for cutting—count me in next time! What a great use of that orange bucket that sits in my garage. I happen to have a ‘flower friend’ who has advised me to always keep a bucket, scissors and a bottle of water in my car for happy finds just like this…Best advice ever!
