The perfect place to have dinner in Cashiers—The Library Kitchen and Bar is also the perfect place to start your date night. This charming restaurant is located in Sapphire Valley in a restored historic building. The colorful art installation is set off by the white walls and antique copper pots that seem to float from the beams. The food is the culinary creation of Chef Johannes Klapdohr who focuses on a seasonal menu with the freshest local and most flavorful ingredients. We started with asparagus soup and arugula with goat cheese fritters salads. Fish is always my entree of choice and Mr. P had the delicious elk steak. Try the small plates— which encourage you to try a little bite of it all. Our State magazine was there, too—look for a story soon. They live up to their motto…’You’re sure to find our restaurant easy to visit and hard to leave.’ Make reservations for your Date Night—you will LOVE it!
