When my husband goes away for the weekend and says “Don’t do anything crazy‘”—define Crazy. Well, we all know what happens then—a project comes to life! The entry floor has always driven me crazy—really. The tile was this horrible brown and was three layers deep with tile and cement. To rip it out would mean gutting the half bath and taking the stair railing down…not happening when you live here full time. My solution to any bad floor—paint it white, and that is exactly what I did. The floors are now clean, bright, and beautiful white. I was going to add a border to match the kitchen floor but loved the simple white so much I just stuck with it. I have just sent the wine shelf out to be painted, too.

Brilliant, and I love it! The white floors will “:age” beautifully too, with lots of memories along the way.
Thank you Ann. We love the light that they add to the house.
