Good bones are what everyone wants in a house or garden. You can always fix the ugly with a little lipstick, or stone in this instance. I am shocked at the difference this small change has made in my side and lower garden. A trip to the garden center happened shortly after this picture—even though they were closed we had a look around. We have a plan from Boxwoods and are ready to start planting…as soon as the snow melts. Shrubs and bushes can be planted at any time up here, so shrubs and bushes it is until Spring. No more half moss, half grass and a plethora of holes to fall into. Now I have a home for all of that patio furniture I have been hoarding—lucky me. Have a look around your garden and see what you can have done this winter…everyone has something they want to change.

“small change”?? It took a number of critical
construction pads. It feels less impactful
with a plan, supplies in place and capable
staff.
And—workers that show up!
