Lost—90 Boxwoods!

Cashiers new stone walls
All boxwoods are GONE! That is the second trailer full of dead boxwoods.

Boxwood Blight has claimed its toll on 90 gorgeous, big boxwoods. This nearly broke my heart—I couldn’t even watch them being dug out. The gardens were bare, and I need to find a replacement ASAP. Highlands Lawn and Garden to the rescue with hollies ready to be planted. Next the decision was where the 32 they had in stock would be planted. The front garden was the most bare, so in they went. These are Steed hollies and have a slight conical growing habit. We will add more Steed and Soft Touch hollies soon. I will be doing a little shaping in early Spring, but am Very Happy with the results for now. Check back later for my boxwood replacement update.
