Scary, right—challenge accepted! This crazy ‘faux’ stone wall greeted all potential owners…now you know why it was for sale for a while. I saw large open spaces and possibilities—Mr. P saw $$s. I was waiting to post a finished house, but we all know that is impossible with me. I decided to post it just as it is—including Christmas decorations. Fake stone covered the ‘Fan’ entry and three stone arches separated the living room and kitchen. All the ‘stone’ and fake ceiling wood came down quickly. We filled three dumpsters with debris. Have a look at the finished results…well, almost. We have changed colors twice and added more furniture and French doors. We are renovating the half bath with new color or wallpaper any day now. The new color in the hall is Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue—a favorite of mine. We used a classic Chinese Chippendale stair rail for inspiration and added a doggie/baby gate. Painted floors are coming to the entry soon—painter needed! More of the Cashiers’ house before and after is coming soon. Enjoy the ‘new‘ tour.

Lissy, you have done a lot of work and your home and it looks beautiful!!! Love the hallway color and love the mantle dressed with the greens and pinecones! Wow!!! thank. you for sharing!
Cathy, Thank you! It is still a work in progress—it was awful, lol.
I am painting more floors soon…check back later.
xo,
Victoria, Thanks! Even though this is a mountain home, it’s also a full time home now.
The entry was a neutral beige before—I was deciding on a color. Most of my walls
are white and my color comes in with my furniture and accessories. Check back
later for more updates.
