Fig is the place for lunch.

Now what about “FIG” for lunch! This charming little restaurant was truly a delightful find. Fresh-baked bread and olive oil were served along with a refreshing glass of iced tea. Mr. P was starving so the appetizers —fries served with parmesan and chives along with fresh mussels disappeared fast. I ordered the salmon that was grilled to perfection and served on red cabbage and new potatoes—with a hint of lemon. The dessert, well, simply the most wonderful bread pudding I have ever tasted.  The next time you visit Asheville stop in and judge for yourself—my suggestion is order the salmon.
