Color is the story this year! Ikea always has the best January shopping ideas —this is when they load up on new items. I just learned that Ikea is a franchise, so your Ikea may differ from the Atlanta store. Velvet was on everything from pillows to slipcovers for sofas and chairs. Jewel tones of gold, red, blues and emerald greens filled the shelves along with a strong presence of black and white. My all time favorites of rattan and wicker in the form of baskets, lights and storage bins almost jumped into my cart. The children’s area was filled with Happy things for your little ones—I love the little kitchen. Check out the rug and linen section this year…they are loaded with great ideas. Grab a cup of coffee and chair for a little shopping tour with me.
