The search for the perfect Christmas tree is easy if you happen to live in Christmas tree heaven. We loaded up the car for the two-mile trip—not so easy when the bridge is out. We took the back road past the lake and up a dirt road only wide enough for one car. It was beautiful—water falls, forest, and scary cliffs led to the most charming Christmas tree farm on the top of the mountain—Grandy Mountain Christmas Tree Farm. They had trees from 1 ft. to 20 ft., all lined up in lovely rows. Mr. P wanted a large tree…but, I talked him into a 9—10 ft. one. It was perfect! I just heard they are all out of Christmas trees and greenery for 2020, but start your fun family tradition in 2021 and cut your own tree up here on the mountain.
