The Most Delicious Moments!

how to make kale and white bean soup
Next try kale and white bean soup from Barefoot Contessa.

The most delicious moments are definitely in your own kitchen these days. I have been chopping, sauteing, roasting, baking, and grilling up a storm in the past few months…I might even be saving money.

I don’t do small batches of anything. Cooking in huge batches lets me freeze half for later and enjoy a day without cooking. We even grill lots of chicken and shrimp then make shrimp or chicken salad, fajitas, soup or freeze the rest for another meal.

Lately, Mr. P has had a sweet tooth and that means large crumbles or cakes—he is not a pie crust eater. And Pizza night is genius with kids in the house. Chopping relieves stress and lets everyone help with dinner.

Gather a few ideas from me or just turn on Youtube for a little inspiration…next is Jamie Oliver’s Lasagna!

Or try a pizza bar with all of the fixings—dough from the grocery store is fine.
The pear cake is ready for its ‘close up’ in the oven
Start with a great bread flour—and make it at home.
Now how about that for great results!

Don’t forget to make and freeze your own stock.

  1. All this looks great and such a pretty presentation. I have been cooking a lot at home too. Even made my own cake flour. It was better than the store bought!
    Thank you for sharing!
