House Crush N° 57

Blowing rock post
Be still my heart!

Poplar bark, stone, locust logs, Tudor details, boxwood, gardens and color—this charming House Crush has it all. I feel like the fairytale house has come to life and has invited me to dinner. It is both rustic and refined at the same time. I have never seen poplar bark used on a ceiling with Locust logs. I love this detail. The aqua window trim simply invites you in and the two-story stone fireplace says, “Welcome. Stay awhile.” I would love to have dinner and cocktails on that amazing porch overlooking the lush green garden. The dining area uses beautiful Chippendale- and Hitchcock-inspired chairs and the lounging area has simple Hickory and Wicker furniture that was probably locally sourced. Take a little break and enjoy this charming home with me today. (I find something new every time I look at the photos.)
