Never Pass It Up!

consignment stores
Welcome to shopping happiness.

Consignment Shops…that’s all you need to know to add charm to your personal style. They are full of other peoples treasures. Here is what I always do when vintage or antique shopping. Take a big look around and see what grabs your eye. Sit in chairs, open drawers , touch it, then check the price. You can Google anything for an instant price check. Upholstry pieces should be sturdy and comfy. Drawers should open easily—you don’t want to spend a lot of money on repairs. Art is a great deal at the consignment stores. If you love it, buy it. You will find a place for it.

Don’t overlook those odd number of plates—hang them on the wall! I love Bar Harbor wicker and never pass it up. You can always change the color and get new cushions. Look for classic and unusual lamps and lanterns…they usually just need cleaning and a new shade and add instant charm.

Every time I go consignment or vintage shopping I find something. I don’t need it, but I have to buy —I’ll always end up using it somewhere. I LOVE a great deal!
