House Crush N°39—Sea Island

Sea Island cottage
House Crush!

Think tabby, lush landscaping, crushed shell drive—that all equals this Sea Island house crush. This lovely Spanish cottage, tucked back from the road, is easily missed. Lush and mature landscaping envelopes the cottage and makes an ‘Oasis’ like setting. I think the arch-windowed front porch is a new addition, but it adds all the charm and curb appeal of the cottage. I am a big fan of the tabby houses and crushed shell drives that are featured on lots of St. Simons and Sea Island properties. It’s just the perfect choice for a beach home—strong, charming and local. The front door is located on a vine-covered side of the house and with even more lush greenery. Look closely above the glass sun room and you will see a dovecote. The house is simply magical—enjoy!
