Winter White

Winter White snow
Snow topped The Old Edwards Inn on Main Street in Highlands.

Winter white furnishings, winter white clothing—the ‘real’ winter white came to visit our house this weekend.

The snow started falling in a fine mist and changed over to huge flakes after lunch on Friday. WOW, what a wonderful surprise on Saturday morning! We stopped checking when the table top accumulation measured at eight inches! Snow, snow, snow … and more snow! Powder snow tops the ski slopes near by and they blow more every night.

If you need a little winter break head to the North Carolina mountains now to share the beauty and fun.

Winter white wonderland
Our snow-covered roads remind me of that scene in The Holiday.

Winter white
Christmas card 2017?

Winter white garden
The new entry gate looks charming in the snow.

The front garden has a beautiful mountain view.

Winter white ski slopes
The slopes are looking great!

Winter white skiing
The lifts are ready to go.

Winter white tubing
Late afternoon tubing is the best.
