Construction Junction—or No Privacy!

WLet’s just start the story by saying how great it feels to get things done! I remind myself of that fact frequently these days. My hideaway place is in the master bedroom—to escape the noise and renovation mess. It seems my bedroom is the only place not under construction. The framers and trim carpenters start early—as in 7:30 to 8:00 AM early. The gardeners arrive soon after the early birds followed by the painters, floor installers and random whoever or whatever else is scheduled next.

Today I came back from the garden center to find painters at every window in the house, two of the huge glass doors being removed, two openings boarded with plywood, two large Japanese maples being installed and the power off! LOL! I am giving up and escaping by watching Gardener’s World on YouTube.

Construction updates
Two large Japanese maples will flank the side walkway.

Construction-new French doors.
The old glass doors are being replaced with French doors with side panels.

New French doors
Paint and hardware for the new doors is looking great.

New construction update of rails and stairs
All of the new rails and stairs are getting the final coats of paint—can’t wait for the deck to be stained.
