Scotlyn’s Yard Fall Fun!

Little Engine that Could
The Little Engine that Could!

WI love fall! I have been out enjoying the seasonal displays and endless bounty at the farmers markets. I’ve made applesauce, roasted butternut squash and a huge pot of chili is on my mind.

When the leaves start to turn and the traffic slows with all of the leaf lookers we head down to Scotlyn’s Yard Nursery to catch the always-creative displays they have every year. This year’s display is from the story The Little Engine That Could. This charming little engine of hay greets all visitors to the nursery and anyone driving down 107 South near Cashiers. I heard that the local school children made a field trip to see the engine this week—everyone loves a field trip! I am sure the little faces were all smiles at the sight of the story character come to life.

Why not make a fall road trip up to Cashiers and Highlands to see the fall beauty—you won’t be disappointed!
