House Crush N° 30

house crush-lake view from patio
House Crush starts with this lovely view!

WNeed a little break from the heat today? It’s 92 degrees in Paris as I write this post! A good friend is on a buying trip there and said it is !! H-O-T-HOT !! So why not escape to the mountains of North Georgia for a House Crush tour—you deserve a little vaca from the early September heat.

This House Crush mountain retreat, built in the 1940s, is still loved by the same family today. The oak board and batten house is situated on a ridge with both a mountain and a lake view. Designed for comfort, fun and entertaining, family and house guests enjoy games, boating, fishing, hiking, music from the jukebox—or just relaxing in the cool mountain air.

The kitchen is open and perfect for entertaining. The counters are Tate marble from a local source and the large dining table is actually two rectangular tables joined together for large groups—The more the merrier is obviously the motto here. I would just enjoy sitting on one of the many patios with coffee or a cocktail taking in the view!

Enjoy the tour!

House Crush, window view and a tree swing
Windows line this whole wall in the living room—I think I see a swing hanging from the oak tree.

A collection of bird prints line this wall where all the fun happens—jukebox, darts, air hockey ….

Another collection rests on the marble back splash—stone hearts gathered by the family.
