My sweet editor has studied photography for a while now. She was in Cashiers for a garden tour and asked if she could take some black and white photos to study the light in my house. I was happy to have someone else take pictures so I could concentrate on my guests and the tour. Here are a few examples of her work. Enjoy!

What gorgeous photography, Lissy. Black and whites are a favorite and the sunlight filling your home is amazing…such a pretty place! Love the Orangerie!! Happy Thurday!
xoxo! Thank you so very much. The light is one of the main reasons I am keeping this house. The porches and the view are the other reason.
An artist friend lives by the code, if it doesn’t work in black and white, it doesn’t work. The house looks wonderful. Alastair’s bed!! Do I recognize the sofa?
Lol,that is my messy bed. The sofas are the ones from Atlanta. I love they way light fills this house.

Lovely photos, but could you publish them again in color? I’d love to see these rooms with the natural light and fabrics with your beautiful antiques. Thanks!
Thank you! My editor took them a few weeks ago. I think all of them have been on the blog before—I will look and re-post.

An orangerie! You lucky lady. The light in your home is fantastic.
This house is positioned beautiful on this lot! I ‘inherited’ all of this lovely light from the original architect.
