The new dining table is in the house! Keven Hawkins designed this beautiful piece for the space, and Merritt Newman made it. The top is inlaid old heart pine—the bottom, a copy of an auction find. The original base was a little small for the 6-foot round top, so an exact copy was made to scale. The base is painted my new favorite color. I call it ‘Soiree Blue’—named for the color on the cover of Danielle Rollins book of the same name. It is the yummiest blue and goes with everything. The top has a little boo-boo, so I will post more pictures when it is perfect. Many thanks to the talented men who worked on this lovely table.
