This stone and poplar bark house is on a lake in the North Carolina mountains. Mr.’P’ and I were just driving around looking at houses … we do that a lot … and found this little gem. The setting was so wonderful that we just had to stop and get a closer look. What we found was two houses instead of one. The garage on this home could be a ‘full time’ home on it’s own. If you are looking for ideas on where to put all of those guest, parents, grown children, in laws or outlaws this may be just the place for you. Let me know what you think.

Are your creative juices flowing yet? I know mine are … but houses always effect me that way.

This house is the best and love it. Is that bark wood on the exterior? Love all the stone and the windows with the criss cross grids. They look so charming. It makes me wonder what the inside looks like.
Cathy, I would love to see inside this charming home–maybe someday.

Hi Lissy,
Hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous home. I have never been to North Carolina, but would really like to visit If both of my girls end up on the East Coast…I think I might be tempted to relocate here.
