emember the side table problem in the Atlanta kitchen? First I tried the large round skirted tables with the copper coffee urns–way to large for the Belgian linen loveseat. Then I tried several small tables from around the house and a shop or two–too small. I was very discouraged so I just left the corners blank for a while. My next shopping trip was the charm. I shopped about 100 stores one week and finally spotted the winner– these iron and wood tables had just arrived at, of all places, Boxwoods! It seems that I missed them the first time around because they sold immediately. I brought home two sizes and the larger size was the clear winner. Sometimes you just have to shop a little more to find the perfect table–not a problem for me. See what you think.
Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together. The draperies are the next choice on the list–more later.

perfect! Definitely a winner, gorgeous tables. Following your footsteps to Boxwoods next week. Can’t wait.
Beginning the task of draperies for my own home….a mild version of Tudor Revival or French Normandy, I don’t know. Built in 1937 with rough plaster walls. Feel that black iron return rods would be appropriate. Have any good sources and/or ideas? In a small town…I rely on online sources primarily….but willing to drive to find the right product. Don’t know where to start
Jennifer, I love the small black iron ones that are solid. I had a home similar to yours when I lived in Winston-Salem.
I used the black iron there. Antique Drapery Rod Co. makes a beautiful one and you can usually get them at Calico Corners.
There is one near Boxwoods in Atlanta.

I have antique drapery rod co. saved in my files actually ha. However, a shop in a nearby town (Camden, SC) was recommended and I went to visit just this afternoon. Eureka! Beautiful workroom…and has an account with a supplier for the flat black return rods I want. Drapes, hardware and installation. Finally…a one stop shop. Small town living requires a lot of leg work ha
Still want to check out those at Calico Corners. Thank you for much for the advise, much appreciated. Can’t wait to see your draperies, will be perfect I’m sure
Great news! Small town living does require leg work, but is so wonderful I don’t mind the effort.
Remember my new zip code is E-I-E-I-O.
