Winston-Salem has some of the most charming homes you will see anywhere—promise. English Tudor, Dutch Colonial, stone, brick, even fairytale cottages can be found here. I am taking you on a drive around my old neighborhood in Winston-Salem for the next two posts. I loved Winston…the houses are charming, the food and shopping are great and the people are the most welcoming people you will ever meet. This city has great small shops, local restaurants, great walking paths and the original Krispy Creme Donut Shop. Check out Reynolda Village for shopping and have lunch at The Village Tavern there. Don’t miss AlI Through the House in Reynolda Village—it’s the Boxwoods of Winston. I hope you enjoy this little scenic tour and are inspired by all of the charm in this city.

Lissy! I grew up on Buckingham Rd. in Winston- Salem and attended Whitaker Elementary on Buena Vista Rd. ( you have pictured some homes from this street❤️). I recognize many of these homes. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Jane, We lived on Country Club Road in Winston. It is the most lovely place. My old neighbor was just in Cashiers and stopped by for a visit.
